Mika Heikkilä appointed as Ylva’s Chair of the Board

Mika Heikkilä, LLM, Master of Laws with court training, has been appointed as Ylva’s Chair of the Board from 1 Apr 2022 onwards. Heikkilä acts as Executive Director of Kiinteistöliitto Uusimaa ry.
Mika Heikkilä is a versatile lawyer and administrative professional with a long career in management and the real estate business. Heikkilä has plenty of experience of board work as both an educator and as a member of the board. He has held management positions in the Chambers of Commerce and the Finnish Real Estate Federation, for example.
“Ylva’s operations are going through changes, and its goals for the near future are clear and suitably challenging. There are currently two significant investment projects underway, for example. The position of Ylva’s Chair of the Board offers an interesting opportunity to bring together the expertise of long-standing operators and the owners’ viewpoints. I am really looking forward to directing Ylva’s interesting operations in good cooperation with a versatile board and a competent operational management team,” says Heikkilä.
Ylva’s board is appointed by the board of the University of Helsinki, which also acts as Ylva’s general meeting.
“We considered Mika Heikkilä’s extensive board experience and his clear vision and interest in developing Ylva in terms of sustainability as well as the core business operations as particularly beneficial.
