Both x Home will start renting student apartments in October

The rental operations of student apartments at Domus Academica will be transferred to Ylva on 1st of October. The student apartments are owned by the Student Union of the University of Helsinki. Rental operations will be managed by Ylva’s housing brand Both x Home. Previously they have been handled by an external operator.
At Domus Academica there are a total of 62 student apartments including shared apartments, studios, two-room apartments and family apartments.
“The student apartments are very popular. The best time to inquire about a vacant apartment is the early summer: once the results of the student selections arrive, the demand will grow tremendously and reach its peak in the late summer”, says Ylva’s Rental Specialist Petteri Vitikainen.
Domus Academica, or “Domma”, is located in the heart of Helsinki on Hietaniemenkatu. The bus and tram stop as well as the Kamppi metro station are only a few minutes’ walk away. In addition, there is a direct connection from the neighborhood to the Baana cycle and walking route.
“We have agile access to all university campuses on Helsinki area: the city center, Viikki, Meilahti and Otaniemi”, says Vitikainen.
Information about Domus Academica’s student apartments can be found on Both x Home website. All vacant apartments are also listed on Oikotie and Vuokraovi.com. All apartments have free WiFi connection and can be rented either unfurnished or furnished. There is also a common laundry room for all residents in the building.
Domus Academica, has offered student housing in the center of Helsinki since 1947. In addition to student housing, Domus Academica also has rental housing and various spaces for hobbies and organizations of the Student Union of the University of Helsinki.
